Balderdash. I was really hoping that Punk wouldn’t be tempted to slum it and fire back at Chris Brown’s baiting.
Everyone had their hate reheated when Chris won a couple of Grammy Awards and was given more air time than Jennifer Hudson singing a Whitney Houston tribute. Despite the fact that the entire Rihanna beating happened several years ago, he still has not grown/learned shiz from it and that doesn’t sit well with people who are working for their career instead whining with an air of entitlement or using Rihanna to sponge fame. Will Wheaton and a slew of other celebrities have all taken aim at Chris lately, but he singled out CM Punk for a response that was typical of your average high school locker room. Brown, hiding behind his laptop, Tweeted about steroid abuse. The WWE star, who doesn’t look like he eats roids for breakfast, lunch and dinner in comparison to his fellow wrestling comrades, has always maintained a clean/sober lifestyle. His message of being drug free, which is inked on his fingers, has been his mantra since high school. Obviously Brown’s low and underhanded comment this struck a nerve and Punk responded by challenging Lady Beater Brown to a fight that will benefit charity…
“Chris and I come from different worlds. I don’t have an assistant. I don’t have a body guard. I don’t have a manager or a PR person telling me to delete tweets like Chris does, and I don’t hit women. Period. He has made the wrong accusations to the wrong person because I can defend myself.”
Brown responded with a Tweet that he wouldn’t fight Punk and mentioned something about 15 minutes of fame. Basically, Chris won’t fight someone unless he can do it from behind a computer or they are a girl.
